On August 26, Andrés Pastrana Arango, the 38th President of Colombia, President of the International Democratic Center Party, President of the Colombian Conservative Party, and Honorary President of the Latin American Political Parties Alliance, led a delegation to visit Changhui Shanghai Company. Leaders and business representatives from Shanghai Dazhong Economic City, Chery Mojia Robot Company, and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics also attended the event. The parties engaged in in-depth discussions on manufacturing globalization and China-Latin America economic and trade cooperation, reaching broad consensus on market expansion in Latin America. During the visit, the former President personally conferred the Former Presidential Medal of Honor on the corporate executive responsible for overseas expansion, in recognition of Changhui's solid commitment to manufacturing and its proactive efforts in the Latin American market.
At 9:00 a.m., Former President Pastrana and his delegation arrived at Changhui's Shanghai company, where company staff and invited guests lined up to extend a welcome. In the corporate exhibition hall, presenters gave a systematic briefing covering the enterprise's development history, core businesses, manufacturing capabilities, domestic‑and‑overseas market footprint and Latin‑America‑focused global‑expansion plan, fully demonstrating Changhui's solid foundation in manufacturing and its global‑oriented strategy.

Subsequently, representatives from Shanghai Dazhong Economic City, Chery Mojia Robot Company, and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics joined the discussion, sharing insights from the perspectives of

The participating parties held productive discussions on manufacturing globalization, China-Latin America trade cooperation, and follow-up project coordination, reaching consensus on collaboration. Former President Pastrana expressed strong interest in introducing Changhui's auto parts and Chery's AI intelligent robotics industries to Colombia and exploring new markets, while also expressing hope to leverage the industrial and intellectual resources of platforms such as Shanghai Dazhong Economic City and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics to facilitate the implementation of China-Latin America cooperation projects.
Following the symposium, the visit proceeded to its centerpiece - the conferral ceremony of the Former Presidential Medal of Honor. Former President Pastrana personally presented the medal to President Wang Zhengzhong, in recognition of Changhui's solid commitment to manufacturing and its active efforts in the Latin American market, which have contributed significantly to promoting industrial and economic exchanges between China and Latin America. He also encouraged the company to continue expanding its industrial footprint in the region. The ceremony concluded with a group photo to commemorate this important moment.
