Installation Notes
1.Disconnect the battery before starting work. Remove the negative terminal and wait at least 10 minutes to fully discharge the airbag system capacitor.
2.Center the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position. Manually rotate the clock spring's inner hub to its neutral (reset) position-usually aligned with a mark or notch-before mounting.
3.Do not force connectors. Each plug should click into place smoothly. Mismatched or bent pins can cause intermittent faults or SRS warning lights.
4.After installation, perform a full functional test:
(1)Turn the ignition on (engine off)
(2)Rotate the steering wheel fully left and right
(3)Confirm the horn works, multifunction buttons respond, and the SRS warning light goes out after self-check
5.If the SRS light remains on, use a compatible scan tool to check for fault codes-do not ignore persistent warnings.
